Nostalgia

In 2009 I completed an interesting art project while attending Pittsburgh Filmmakers Institute.  At the time, I published it as a Blurb book solely for my own collection.  After deciding to update my website, I thought I would share it here, as I’m interested in seeing if it solicits a reaction from others.

From the blurb on Blurb:

This book is a collection of images made in early 2009 during a transitional period of my life. These images are an attempt to document and convey my mixed feelings in dealing with parenting, divorce, new relationships, moving, and death. My whole life I’ve been some sort of an archivist: I save things, I save pictures, I save mementos, I save songs. So why not take pictures in order to save my feelings about my things?

I made this book because Karen Antonelli thought it would be a good idea. So I thought it would be a good idea, too. These images were made as part of my Color 1 class at Pittsburgh Filmmakers Institute during the spring, 2009, using Fuji film and paper.
